How many of you are playing monster hunter right now? The game has sold over 7.5 copies worldwide. I’m almost to the official end game and I’m currently trying to beat the final monster, Kirin. It’s a very difficult fight and I think it’s going to take me a very long time to be able to defeat him. I need to practice a lot more and max out my gear as best I can and maybe I’ll be able to beat him. I will just keep trying and hopefully soon I will be able to continue past this monster and unlock more in the game.  

What do you get from spending almost twelve hours on the train, two of your days off, and just over thirteen thousand yen? The ability to stay in Japan!

After an exhausting, and sometimes annoying, experience, I got my visa renewed. Good for another year. I don't know how troublesome the same process is in the US, but there are far more convenient immigration offices. Even though I live in Ehime, and there is a perfectly good immigration department at Saijo City Hall, I had to go to Takamatsu. There is an immigration office in every state capital, as well as most major cities in America. It would be interesting to see just how different the process is.

Oh, well. The ordeal is over. Now I have to get my driver's license. At least that lasts more than one year!
