I really love fried rice. We have this dish in the States as well. However, in Japan, it’s always so well-made. The ingredients are always so fresh. Delightful.   

My wife made some pasta! She made carbonara. I really like how simply delicious this dish is. I’m a lucky guy.   

My wife made yakisoba the other night! It was fantastic. I truly love her cooking. Nothing like coming home to yakisoba!  

I just love the ocean. I can’t get over the fact that I moved from a landlocked state (Wyoming) to a country surrounded by ocean! I love it here.   

My wife made this omelet for me the other night. It was phenomenal! The secret ingredient? Duck pastrami!  

I truly love bento! I had this one from a supermarket the other day. Japan always amazes me with how convenient, affordable, and delicious a supermarket meal can be.   

I really like koi fish. They’re beautiful and so serene to look at. These were awesome because they were white and gold!   

As many of my students know, my favorite food is curry. I like it in all of its many decadent iterations. This curry udon was delightful as well!  

I went to Osaka Castle recently. It was my first time witnessing a Japanese castle with such a large moat!! It was really cool, Japan is awesome.   

I really like the fried rice at Tenkaipin. Although the rice itself is great, the best part is adding the rice to the leftover broth of the ramen, mixing, and then eating it straight out of the bowl! It’s delightful!  

I went to a cafe the other day and they had this cute Santa decoration that I just had to take a picture of. Look at how adorable he is! Santa must love parfaits too.   

I love when my students give me good recommendations. This is a store in Tadotsu called Tomiya that my student told me about. The chashu is the absolute best and their fried rice is delectable.   

I was scrolling through my photos recently and found this old drawing Michael-sensei made of me, anime-style. It brought back good memories. He's such a great artist!  

Do you like denim? I sure do, and what better sight to see than a whole street lined with denim shops. Also, there’s Okayama’s famous kibi dango just around the corner. Kurashiki is lovely!  

I went to Kurashiki and loved it. The old town really is mesmerizing! It’s nice that somewhere so nice is so near Kagawa. I’m blessed to live here!  

Do you like parfaits? I sure do. This one was small but delicious! I really like that Japanese parfaits usually contain some cereal.
  

Do you all like lamps? I saw this really cool one in a cafe recently. The style is so unique! Arts and crafts really are incredible.   

My wife made French toast again. Her plating and presentation gets me every time. She’s the best!  

The Zenigata coin in Kanonji is awesome! It’s one of my favorite hangouts. The sunset from there is spectacular too.   

My wife made an incredible dinner the other night. She made homemade potato wedges and used truffle salt as the seasoning. I’m a lucky guy!
