Beach update
Alyssa and I went to a different beach last weekend. This one is in Toyohama. This beach was much bigger and had many more people out swimming and walking their dogs. I liked this one much more. It was stull very different from the beaches in America. However, it was very nice. The beach had a skatepark, game courts, and peirs. There was a ton of wildlife at the beach as well. For example, there were a lot of different types of crabs. I found out why the beach in Shikokuchuo was closed too. The jellyfish come close to the coast when the water gets warm. This means that the beaches don't allow swimming because of the dangers of touching a jellyfish and being stung.

Jazzing things up
Last Sunday there was a Jazz concert at Horenji. It was very cool. The weather was good (could have been a little cooler, but good). And it was my first time seeing the temple, which was awesome.
It was very unexpected, that a small temple hidden down an alley would be so well kept. The statues and decorations, the architecture, really everything was perfect. The organizers did an excellent job picking that spot.
Overall it was a neat experience, but now I want to go see more temples.

Kid's Writing

Recently one of my students in starter has been signing all her drawings on the board. She's been doing it without looking at her name tag which is really impressive for a student her age. Plus the writing is so cute.
