My New Favorite Dance Video

Last week, I saw a video of a high school dance team from Osaka, and it blew me away! I love everything about it. The choreography is very impressive! I watch a lot of dancing videos (So You Think You Can Dance is one of my favorite dance competition shows in America) and I'm not easily impressed.
The attitude of the girls while they pulled off some very fast dance moves were perfect, and I've watched the video many times. I wonder how they got so many girls to do all those different parts, and where they learned about retro dance moves. They clearly did some moves from the 80s! They managed to capture an 80's look for their costumes. They teased their hair to make it bigger, and wore suits with shoulder pads. They put on bright makeup.

The season for imotaki
Right now it is prime time for imotaki, hotpot with yamaimo, or Japanese yam, as it is translated to. I have been to imotaki maybe only once or twice before, but I definitely intend to try again this year! If I remember correctly, there were a lot of people in groups around, each with their own pot or two for cooking (and quite a few drinks, if you know what I mean). It was a good atmosphere, everyone talking and having fun. I feel like I haven't been able to do that for a while, so I definitely intend to have a group gathered this year to do so. I guess I will have to look for where I can do it!
