The beach
Alyssa and I went to the beach near our apartment over the past weekend. It was really fun and I cannot wait to go again. Going to the beach in Japan is very different from the beach in America. The first thing that I noticed was that the sand was very coarse at the beach Alyssa and I went to. The beaches in America have very fine sand. The grains of sand are super tiny. The sand is very comparable to the texture of sugar. I don't know if it was just that one particular beach that had this texture of sand, but these ar just my first impressions comparing the beach I went to in America and the beach I went to in Japan.
furthermore, the actual area designated to swimming was very small and enclosed in a barrier of cement protecting the beach from storms from the ocean. The beach that I had been to in America was very long. It seemed to go on for miles.

Coming to a theatre near you...
I really like movies. At one point, I had a collection of about 350 Blu-rays and DVDs. I don't go to the theater often, because it is expensive and troublesome.
A while back, I was talking to a friend in the US. I mentioned I was excited for a certain movie to come out, to which he replied that it had been out for two months. I have totally lost touch with one of my hobbies.

Last weekend I climbed Sanuki Fuji. It was a really great time. The view from the top was beautiful, and in the way I met a stray cat. I went up a little late in the day, so it was dark when I came down and a little scary. Still, it was worth it. The mountains here are really beautiful, and I love being out in nature.
