A Fun Ride
This is Mao. Mao loves to have fun. I, being a fun guy, came up with the idea to drag the cage wall across the yard with her sitting on it. I tied the cage wall, the white grid, to my bike with a rope and started pedaling away. It was only difficult to get started. After I got going, it was easy. After a while of that though, my daily exercise quota was done. I highly recommend trying it out with your kids.

Tokyo Clothes, my wishes come true!
My plan in Tokyo was to go shopping right away. I told my friends that I was going to Shinjuku and that I'd be following my map to find my gothic clothing stores. I would be going at my own pace depending on how successful I was. Rose agreed to come with me anyway, since she enjoyed my choices when we were in Osaka.
The first stop was a place called Marui. The building had OIOI on it and wasn't far from where we exited the station. It seemed pretty normal until we got to the 5th floor. Then we nearly lost our minds! There was a handful of both goth and lolita stores for both of us to drool over. I spend a long time in a Japanese flair sort of store (I have a skirt from that brand that's used) and poked around a few punk stores. Rose found me a Halloween lolita skirt (my first one!) that I couldn't turn down, even though it was so expensive.
Really, everything was expensive. I never spent so much money in one day! It was a bit scary. I"m glad I spent so many days saving money.
Our next stop was a few used clothing shops though, so we could get better deals. We had coffee and met up with our friends at the end of the day. I declared that I didn't need to find the other store on my list (Ozzone) , I'd had a great shopping day.
We got a little lost in the Shinjuku subway, and I found myself standing in front of Ozzone. I excitedly showed them the used coat from that brand and they were so nice! They let me try on things to match what I'd already bought, and everything was in a good size for me! Crazy expensive though, so I was a little indecisive about how much more to spend. I bought one thing. I wish I'd bought more. They were also the only store that let me take a picture (seen here!)
I love Shinjuku clothing stores!!!!

Tokyo Trip 1
So during the holiday, I went to Tokyo. It was my first time, and boy was it a good first time! I (along with several friends) took a plane from Takamatsu airport (much quicker than if we were to take the train). We arrived in Tokyo around 2:30 pm, and made it to our hostel around 4 pm. The hostel was in Asakusabashi, which was a pretty nice area, and we could travel around from there pretty easily. Everyone was pretty tired from traveling, but I had plans that very evening to meet up with old friends from college. I had not seen them for maybe 6 or 7 years! We had talked about heading to Skytree, but decided it might be too expensive, so instead we hit up a restaurant in Asakusa. We also stopped by Kaminarimon, which was near Sensouji (at least, I think it is called Sensouji). After eating, talking, and drinking at the first restaurant, we decided to head to another one (because the one we were at was a little pricey). We made our way to Akihabara, where we found a decent Japanese restaurant, which had really amazing beef. We also drank quite a bit of Nihonshuu, haha. After that, we went to a ramen shop, where the ramen they serve you are allowed two free extra servings of noodles. It was great, and so filling, hahaha. All in all it was a great first night in Tokyo. Of course, it only gets crazier from there. I will have to let you know next time!
