Hello everyone!

Last week I made my first visit to a Japanese hospital, I had the flu and needed to go to the emergency room.

I was so surprised by how different Japanese hospitals are from Canadian hospitals. In Canada when we visit the hospital it is always free, we only need to pay for medicine. Having to pay to go to the hospital was very different from what I'm used to. However, I was so impressed by how fast everything was! In Canada we have to wait a long time to see a doctor when we go to the emergency room at the hospital, I have even waited in an emergency room for more than 8 hours before! I was very relieved to be in the hospital for less than two hours, I was glad that I did not have to wait for a long time when I was sick.

The doctor at the hospital told me I couldn't go to work until my fever was gone, so I missed two days! I was so sad that I could not go to work and teach all of my students, but resting helped a lot!

Now I am healthy again, and I will take better care of myself. Even though I was impressed by the hospital, I hope I don't have to go again!
