Autumn and the Changing of the Leaves

Autumn is by far one of my favorite seasons, with Winter coming in at a close second. With the Summer season coming to a close, I can't help but get excited for cooler weather, walks in the woods while the leaves are changing, and stargazing on cool, crisp Autumn nights with a nice, hot pot of chili cooking over a campfire. With Autumn close upon us, it's time to also begin thinking of the holiday season (well, at least in the US). One thing I am certain of this year is that I would love to be able to spend a Christmas with my family. I haven't spent a Christmas with my family in nearly a decade and I haven't seen them in over a year, my father having been well over 3 years. I miss them dearly.
What are your favorite elements of Autumn? What inspires you during the changing of the seasons? What is your favorite season and why is it so?
Thank you for reading!
