Two weeks ago, I went to Colorado to celebrate my family. During this time, we went up into the mountains to my great grandfathers old homestead. We camped and enjoyed our time together. On the last day, we went around the mountain and enjoyed telling stories and remembering my great grandfathers life and my childhood memories. When we arrived back in camp, we found that the tent that was on the other side of the camp had been broken into by an animal. As soon as I saw some of the food on the ground, I knew it was a bear. We were cautious for a moment before I looked to the ridge above us and saw the brown bear in the picture. He was a younger bear, but still probably about 180kg. He wasn't afraid of us, and was very curious which is why he ended up in the camp. We left him some snacks and packed up camp quickly to go home. We didn't want to stick around to encounter the bear alone. It was a fun but scary experience.
