Getting a Driver's License in Japan
It's been quite an experience getting a driver's license here in Japan. I've enjoyed driving here under my International Driver's license and am excited to get my own Japanese Driver's License!
There are a lot of steps, but none of them have been bad. You just have to have a valid USA license which I do. Then translate it in Japanese so they can read it! Of Course! You have to have all the documents you already needed to just get your Visa. Of course!! You have to have the nice office workers at GEM translate for you so you can answer questions for an hour and a half. The questions are on driving history and every stamp in your Passport! They want to make sure you are legitimate. Of course!
And finally, the testing! I got a 100% on my written test.! Yeah!!! But have to repeat my driving test, hopefully just one more time, as I didn't hug the white line enough while turning. He acknowledged that this isn't done in American, but of course, it is done here!! At least at the Driving Center!
So, one more hurdle I will jump, then I can celebrate! I actually am enjoying this, believe it or not! It's what you call "an experience"!!

March Weather
Recently the weather has been getting a lot warmer lately. It is surprising to me because in Colorado, March is usually the time when we get the most snow. After such a long fall, I feel a little bit like there hasn't been a winter at all this year. I am still very much enjoying the warming weather and the blossoming flowers. I am really loving the daffodils.
As a point of comparison, here is a photo from one of my friend's houses that was taken recently.

Network Unavailable
This content is unavailable in your country.
This phrase and ones very similar like it are very annoying when I'm trying to watch or play a game here in Japan. Recently I purchased a movie on PSN and found that I cannot access it since you can only watch it while in the country that your account is from. But it doesn't warn you or prevent you from viewing and purchasing this type of content on their store while out of country. So I buy it thinking that I'm going to watch a movie and suddenly I'm down $13 and no movie to watch. I go online to find out how to get a refund only to discover that PlayStation has no support ticket system. The only way you can request help from them is through Twitter. And then they just send you back to the website saying to contact Twitter. Its annoying and sucks for those who are trying to have their problems solved.
