My hair color is pretty noticeable in Japan. I always keep to "cool" blonde colors and favor the white/gray spectrum. It can be a lot of work and takes up most of my day to do!

I usually do my hair in 2 steps, taking about 4 hours. I have to prepare my shower area, put on clothes that I don't mind ruining, mix the ingredients and add the mixture to my hair. Last Sunday, I added another step, taking almost 6 hours....and it didn't work!? So I had to redo a step again. My poor hair.

What ALWAYS happens is that I get hungry about halfway through step 1 or 2, and forget that I have no food! So I order a pizza from Royale Hat through their website and have it delivered.

Clad in a robe and dye-stained clothes, with my hair clipped up in crazy, unkept ways, I answered the door for my pizza. Everyone was embarrassed and I just smiled and try to pay as quickly as possible. No one made eye contact and I laughed when the ordeal was over.

This time, not 5 minutes later, a package arrived at the door too. The Sagawa man was not embarrassed and was all smiles as I signed for the box. I think he got a kick out of the situation!

I hope both delivery guys had a funny story to tell about me!
