Halloween Recap

On Halloween Week, several of my students got to see me in my Elsa costume, which I had done for a cosplay event 2 years ago. The younger kids were pretty excited to see it, but the older students not dressing up made me feel a little overdressed for the day. There were a lot of pieces to this costume you know! Still, I had a fun time and was happy that my hair cooperated.
I started working with halloween stickers and resin, and ended up making some great pendants.

I made some regretful mistakes with stickers that I can't replace, but I learned a lot. Next year I think I will be making them for lots of people! I also feel confident enough to start using expensive resin soon. I have a great gift idea that takes a lot of time but looks incredible.
Did I finish the Horror Movie Challenge this October? Sadly no. I only made it to 14 movies! A lot of tv shows that I'm into began their new seasons, and I was terribly busy for a lot of October. The selection of new horror was a little easier to find, thanks to Netflix, but I would have liked to have seen more old stuff from the 80s. That genre is usually so silly (we say "campy") but enjoyable.
I was given gifts from my students, some candy mostly. But I was confused and delighted by my Halloween tissue box.

I genuinly love it! I'm too frugal to buy cute tissue boxes, so I found this to be a WONDERFUL present. When I talked about it on facebook, my friend in Yamagata said that SHE was gifted one too. A Japanese tradition perhaps??
