Fun Fact: My grandmother and my mother are both named Kathleen M, just like me! Almost like I am Kathleen M the 3rd.

My mom has been a nurse for over 25 years! She's worked at many different hospitals over the years and loves her job. I keep telling her to begin writing a book about it (she has lots of interesting stories!) but she hates technology and finds it really difficult. I had to teach her many times how to open and check her email, search the web, and how to put a book on her Kindle.

My mother loves halloween just as much as I do! We get SO excited for everything halloween. October shopping is the best (even if you are just running out for groceries) because you never know what super cute halloween thing she will come home with! The crafting stores are especially hard to stay away from for long, but we always need to buy fabric.


She's perfected a quilting technique and has started selling her halloween quilts at craft shows. Last year she made a ton of them! And even though we didn't sell them all, people have remembered to ask about them this year. Mom even sent me a new one in my homecare package recently and I absolutly love it!

My mother loves certain movies and quotes them all the time in her life. It wasn't until I was older and saw those movies (like Goonies, Ghostbusters, The Thing, Aliens, and Jurassic Park) that I knew she was quoting! I just thought my Mom said silly things. I get my sense of humor from my Mom for sure and I always know when something will make her laugh.

My mother is the biggest supporter in my life. She almost always said "yes" to my crazy ideas. She dyed my hair purple in high school when I wanted to, she's sewn every costume and dress that I have dreamed up, and last year, when a job interview (in another state) didn't work out, she drove me to another state so I could see my favorite radio podcast on stage that very same day. She's given me money for Japan every time and sent me 2 huge care packages so far!
