Carolina Basketball

While I'm not the biggest sports fan one thing I get very excited about is watching my university, the University of North Carolina (UNC), play basketball. College basketball is the one sport I'm very enthused about and it helps that I went to a school with one of the best programs in college basketball history. The State of North Carolina is known for having three of the best college basketball schools in the country, Duke and UNC being the most famous. UNC is also where Michael Jordan played basketball. There are few things I found more enjoyable than going to basketball games and watching our team play. College sports tend to have the most enthusiastic fans and in my opinion the games always seem more genuine than the same sport played on a professional level. Being in Japan it is a bit more difficult to watch all of our games, but I try to see as many as I can. Even if that means staying up till 4 in the morning. I usually try to wear my school's shirt or at least colors, Carolina Blue (or light blue as it is known to everyone else) on game days so if you ever see me wearing that feel free to ask if the Tar Heels are playing.*
*The Tar Heels is our school's nickname.
Here is a short video to tribute 100 years of UNC Basketball.
