Poutine!

Poutine!

I enjoy talking about food and so for the next few blog posts I'll be showcasing some food that I've tried over the years. This particular dish comes from Canada and let me tell you, you haven't truly lived until you've tried this. It's called Poutine (Pronounced pooh-teen) Now in it's basic form it consists of fries with cheese and gravy on top of it. But if you go to Canada you can find many different variations of the same dish.

For example some places may add bacon bits, or tomatoes, or feta cheese for a more Greek experience. There is actually one place in Toronto that makes a Japanese version of the dish that adds green onion, and the sauces you'd usually find in Okonomiyaki. This dish, while simple, is very delicious and is open to many variations.

Here is the Japanese version that I've tried and devoured.

Poutine!

Trying new foods is a passion of mine, I've always said to myself that if I didn't like a particular food prepared one way, try it again when prepared a different way. Be brave!
