Peace and the harvest moon.
The air is cooling down and the days are getting shorter. There are fewer cicadas and more crickets. It's raining less, and the harvest moon has come and gone. It must be fall.

It's always a little melancholy to see the leaves turn brown and the weather change, but it can be a relief too. My first summer in Japan was very hot, and it's nice to be able to walk around outside without sweating so much. the constant haze of summer's humidity has lifted too, so the days are much nicer.
Kristen and I went out to see the harvest moon, and in the process I caught some awesome photos of the sun setting on the setonaikai. Here's a short video of the sun dipping below the horizon. :) Please enjoy it!
