I know the baseball season is over but I just saw some practice games on TV which made me think of the differences between Japanese baseball and American baseball.

Although I do not believe the core rules are different, I noticed that the fans and games are way different here in Japan. For instance, it just seems like the fans are more excited for every game here compared to people in America. In America, most of the fans are more concerned with just walking around the stadium shopping and eating at the various restaurants. Then, most of the fans even leave early from the game! Here in Japan, from what I've seen on TV as well as heard from people who have attended games, their fans rally and stay concentrated on the game. They also have a band play too! It sounds more like Basketball games in America. They have a band, and everyone is present for the game, not focused on shopping or eating at restaurants.
