Learning about Allergies
I don't have any allergies, but lots of people do. The two most common food allergies in America are probably peanuts and shellfish. I had never even heard of an allergy to eggs until I got to Japan.
Food allergies are very dangerous, not just because of the reaction, but it is also difficult to know what ingredients are in a product based on sight alone. Things made in the same building as peanuts carry a warning label, but if the same were true of eggs basically everything would need a label.
