Kaleidoscopes

On Sunday, a bunch of teachers and staff went to the museum for fun. I'm sure others will talk about it, so I am going to mention one part that was personal for me.
The museum in Ehime has a kaleidoscope exhibit for a limited time. My mother really loves kaleidoscopes, and I had a few different kinds when I was growing up. I got my mother a ball phone strap kaleidoscope from Kyoto once and it was her favorite gift of the year. The exhibit was very cool and it reminded me of my mother. She would have spent a very long time in there!
I was impressed at how many different kinds of kaleidoscopes there were. It was hands-on, even the heavy and expensive ones. Some twisted and turned. Some stayed stagnant while the items near it moved around. One turned my friend into a kaleidoscope. One moved with puffs of air. There were lights set up everywhere so you could see as clearly as intended.
I was in love with a monthly set (the sakura one for March was amazing) and went back to look at them twice. I was happy to see that they sold a smaller version of those in the giftshop, but they were far too expensive for me.
