On Sunday, I was invited to my friend's wedding party! It was my first wedding party attended in Japan and I had a blast! There was good food and some fun games. I met some really nice people too!

I caught the bouquet! It's a bit silly for me to be happy about this, since catching the bouquet traditionally means that I am the NEXT person at the party to be married. Even if I don't believe this, it was exciting to win something at a party. I was honored that the bride let me keep it and I will display it on my wall soon.

I looked up WHY the bride tosses a bouquet, and it turns out that historically she did it because she was being chased! It was believed that the wedding dress and flowers were good luck, and people in the party would grab for both during the wedding.
