Christmas Traditions
Today I want to share one of my favorite family Christmas traditions with you!
I think one of the most important parts of Christmas (other than spending time with family) is the food! In my family we have lots of special foods that we eat only around Christmas time. There are a few that are special to people who live in my home province of Newfoundland and Labrador. I think my favorite has to be Purity syrup.
This is a sweet sugar syrup that you mix with water to create a fruit flavored drink. It's not very good for you, so it's a special Christmas treat for us. Ever since I was a kid I've looked forward to drinking it all year. It's even produced by a famous Newfoundland company!
My mom even sent me a bottle in the mail so that I could drink it this Christmas, I can't wait! What kind of special Christmas foods or drinks does your family have?
