Nanowrimo?

Nanowrimo?
Nanowrimo is a popular writing challenge for Western Authors. It takes place in November--which is also known among creative writers as National Novel Writing Month (or NaNoWriMo for short). The goal of it is to write a novel length work--50,000 words, in just 30 days. I didn't do NaNoWriMo during November this month, but I have done it 3 times in the past. Twice I actually completed a novel within the time frame. Once I failed, miserably. It's a lot of fun, though. There are chatrooms where writers get together to encourage each other, and late night sessions where authors get together for coffee and to write as much as they can. To reach the goal you have to write at least 1,500 words a day.
This month I decided to make up for missing NaNoWriMo in November by writing a novel in the month of December. I set my own goal of 70,000 to 80,000 words. That means I have to write about 2,400 words a day. Right now I have a little bit of a jump start. I'm at around 17,000 words. Wish me luck!
