My birthday!
My birthday was on June 30th, which was a Tuesday. So I had a big BBQ party on Sunday in Saijo by the river. It was probably the best birthday I have had to date!
Now, I generally don't celebrate my birthday. I just don't think it's a big deal. But when I came to Japan, and was brought to Kamogawa for the first time, I knew I had to have a party there!
I arrived 2 hours before the start time to set up (things like the grills and the tents). I am glad that I did, because it took a long time! And throughout the day I had many people come and go. I am pretty sure at least 30 people were at my party, though maybe not all at once.
We all had a great time. We jumped into the river (it was really cold!), people played football and frisbee, everyone talked, laughed, and just had a lot of fun. I was really happy, （＾−＾）. The party continued into the night, though many people had left by then. The few that remained got to play with some sparklers (花火) that I had brought with me. We were like little kids, hahaha.
Once it was over, I got settled into my tent. That's right, I spent the night at the river, but this time with more than just a sleeping bag, haha.
I want to have more parties at the river. It was tons of fun, and I really enjoyed having so many people around also having fun! It's definitely one of the best feelings ever!
