Bob Dylan

Like most people I've always really enjoyed music but for most of my life I listened to music purely as an enjoyable experience and was never overly moved by any artist. That changed when I got to college and started listening to Bob Dylan after previously not paying him much attention. Almost immediately I was struck by how his music inspired me and moved me in ways music had previously not been able to. For the first time I really listened to and thought about all the lyrics. Since then he has always been the artist I turn to when I don't know what to listen to or just want to feel moved by something. In general I'm more of a fan of his early works, prior to the mid 1970s, but lyrically I still think his recent work is amazing. Some of my favorite songs include: Mama You've Been on my Mind, Boots of Spanish Leather, Love Minus Zero / No Limits, and I was Young When I Left Home.
