Traditions
We just had the Solstice Celebrations in Japan,, and another remembrance of the deceased. Japan is a mixture of so much respect for tradition in many ways, and such complete disregard for it in others. There seems to be however a pretty consistent respect for the deceased, which may have a lot to benefit everyone in a way. I think there's more of a coming to terms with old age, death, and this makes for a more relaxed relationship with the natural course of our lives, a very civilized way of going about things, I think. Anyway let's be thankful that we're not all the same, that it's so much more interesting that we're not.
