Takoyakoi

Japan has a popular food called Takoyaki. It is served as a small appetizer-style snack in the shape of a ball. It is usually filled with diced octopus, some pickled ginger, and chopped green onions; amongst other things.
The food first became popular in Osaka in the 1930s. Today the Kansai region is well-known for Takoyaki, but it is eaten everywhere in Japan. Both adults and children seem to like it. You can get it fresh from street vendor, at a fast-food place, convenience stores, or even frozen at the supermarket.
Japan has so many ethnic food treats, and Takoyaki is just one of many. Give it a try!
