Greetings from Kanonji!

I am settling in nicely in my new home here in Japan. Over the last week, I did a lot of cleaning, organizing, and shopping at Daiso in my free time. Slowly, our apartment is feeling more like home.

Tony and I worked with Bill Sensei on our last day of training and got to try Kagawa's famous Udon for the first time. The curry udon with tempura vegetables, chicken, and shrimp was so delicious that I’m still thinking about it. I tried udon from MaxValue, but it cannot compare to the freshly made fare we enjoyed on that sunny day in Marugame.

I cannot wait for spring so I can enjoy more time outside and experience Sakura season for the first time. I saw some blooms on the roadside, but I think they may be plum blossoms.

Isn’t the pink magazine cover in the photo so cute? I love many of the characters pictured. I am always tempted to buy magazines when I go out, but until my Japanese reading skills improve, or I see a magazine featuring my favorite idol group NiziU, I cannot justify the purchase.

I will admit, I’ve been buying way too many Pokemon Kids figures and probably too much Van Houten cocoa and Lawson Red Chicken too!

私はここ日本の新しい家にうまく慣れています。 先週、私は空いた時間に掃除や整理整頓をしたり、ダイソーで買い物をしたりしました。 ゆっくりと、私たちのアパートが家のように感じられるようになりました。

トニーと私は研修の最終日にビル先生と一緒に働き、初めて香川の有名なうどんを試すことができました。 野菜、鶏肉、エビの天ぷらが入ったカレーうどんはとても美味しかったので、今でも考えています。 マックスバリューのうどんを食べてみましたが、あの晴れた日に丸亀で食べた打ちたてのうどんとは比べものになりません。

もっと外で過ごす時間を楽しみ、初めて桜の季節を体験できる春が待ち遠しいです。 道端に咲いているのを見かけましたが、おそらく梅の花だと思います。

写真のピンク色の雑誌の表紙がとてもかわいくないですか？ 私は描かれているキャラクターの多くが大好きです。 外出するときはいつも雑誌を買いたくなるのですが、日本語の読解力が上達するか、お気に入りのアイドルグループ NiziU が特集されている雑誌を見るまでは、買う気にはなれません。

正直に言うと、ポケモンキッズのフィギュアを買いすぎたし、おそらくバンホーテンのココアやローソンのレッドチキンも買いすぎた！
