Have you ever had a craving for a piece of food that you haven't had in a very long time? Well, I did.

One of my former Japanese language school classmates had invited me to go on an adventure with her to locate the infamous Cinnabon that we were both craving from the U.S. We had to travel to Kichijoji to search for this infamous delectable delight. It's a large delicious cinnamon roll with lots of frosting. However, you can get one that is covered in caramel with pecans, a chocolate lover's one, or limited edition one that you can only procure during a specific time.

Since I haven't had one in quite sometime, I was up for the challenge. When my classmate and I finally convened to search for our treasure, I was soon reminded why I haven't had one in such a long time. This monstrosity of a cinnamon roll could quite possibly give you diabetes. The warm, creamy frosting glazing the entirety of the cinnamon roll looked as if you could drown in it if you were a miniature person. On top of the river of frosting, the pecans that swam through it as if they were tiny boats fighting against the Northern Sea was frightening but welcoming to be conquered. I took my first bite and understood that this creature couldn't be defeated unless you have something warm and bitter to wash down the sugary monster you were trying to swallow. Black coffee to the rescue. I fought and fought until I came out victorious after conquering what I thought was the unconquerable. To my utter surprise, I relished the monstrous delight and begged the staff to not release me from this dreadful nightmare by purchasing two more of these horrendously delicious treats.

And... that's how I ate my first Cinnabon in Japan... The End...
