October: a bad month for stargazing

On october 15th, a "ring of fire" solar eclipse will be visible across parts of north and south America, but will not be visible from japan as it will be nighttime, and for us, that night will be a new moon. Lately, it's been cloudly and seemingly will continue to be, preventing us from viewing the aforementioned Draconids, but if we're lucky we might catch the Orionid meteor shower peaking around the 22nd instead, which should be at its best before dawn, however visibility is expected to be low due to a full moon falling on the 16th.
