What's an ε-Perseid ?

Perseus didn't get clean enough after its first shower, so it's about to take another one. Welcome to the September ε-Perseid meteor shower, beginning tonight, September 5th, and peaking at 9:00 JST this Saturday, September 9th. The "peak" refers to the expected window of greatest activity- that is , most meteors per minute. When it comes to vantage point, however, meteors should be most clearly visible around 4am each night JST, as this region of the Earth is oriented toward the shower's radiant point (keep reading).
If you happen to be one of the zero people who secretly read this blog, you're probably thinking: didn't we already have the Perseids?
If you remember from previous posts, most meteor showers are named after the constellation or star cluster they appear to fall from, which is called the "radiant point." Other than their radiant point being the pegasus constellation Perseus, the two showers appear to have nothing in common.
