I took the Shodoshima ferry a few weeks ago to travel to the island off the coast of Takamatsu in Kagawa Prefecture. There is a ferry that takes about 1 hour and a high-speed boat that takes only 30 minutes.

Shodoshima has 3 main ports of entry from the southern side of the island. There is Tonosho (southwest), Ikeda (south central), and Sakate (south east). Each port has a variety of places to visit either by bus, taxi, or car.

Shodshima is known for its olive products, and there is so much to see and do on the island! The beautiful landscapes is just one of the reasons to visit Shodoshima. If you have the time and interest, please visit!
