Flowering trees
Hokkaido is the northern most island in Japan and the trees flower much later. I am not sure what tree this is but the type of cherry trees that are common in Japan flower around the first or second week of May in Hokkaido. This is much earlier than Shikoku which is around the end of March or beginning of April.
