Frank O'Hara
Frank O'Hara was a major American poet in the
1960s. His poems were often fun and humorous.
He worked as a curator in The Museum of Modern
Art in New York City, and he belonged to the "New
York School" of poets. His poems were likened to
"entries in a diary"and had the characteristic of
being like a conversation with the reader. O'Hara
was killed accidentally when he was hit by a dune
buggy in the dark on a beach in 1966.
