2021 is slowly coming to a close
To be honest, this past year has flown by so quickly. I still cannot believe that I have been in Japan for over a year now - it seems like just yesterday I was arriving at Kansai airport and being taken to quarantine. It has been overall a really fun year, and I have made some great friendships that I hope last, but I have to admit that despite all the friendships made and fun that was had, this past year has not been super productive for me overall, and I have really just gotten more productive over these past few months.
During these past few months of productivity, I have come to the conclusion that I really need to make 2022 the year in which I lay the foundations for my future (career), whether that involves improving technical skills or getting around to actually studying Japanese. Each year that ticks by is another in which I am not getting any younger, so it is better to start now rather than later. The next few blog posts will be about specific things I hope to accomplish in the new year and general musings on the holiday and the past year.
