Yooperlites

In 2017, a guy was combing the rocky beaches near Michigan's Lake Superior. He was using a fluorescent light (UV) to look for his favorite rock. But instead, he found something new!
He named the rock "Yooperlite" after people that live in the Upper Penninusla of Michigan. "U-P" YOOP-er
The rock is a sodalite but is the first of it's kind found.
My friends went camping in the U.P. recently and got very lucky finding yooperlites! I think they're super cool. They look like normal gray rocks until you shine a UV light on them!
