Japan has many quite a wide variety of foreign foods, more than one might think. But unfortunately there is one category of foreign food that is difficult to find outside of the Americas, and that would be Mexican food. Even when I was living in Korea, there was only a handful of Mexican restaurants in the capital - and they were located around the same district. I would expect that being outside of Tokyo-Osaka-Kyoto that finding Mexican restaurants would be nigh-impossible, but.....

Thanks to the recommendation by another teacher here in Takamatsu, yesterday I went to a new burrito place that's located right outside of Kawaramachi station. There are two different kinds of burritos that he makes (besides other foods like nachos): chicken and taco meat; the cost for a burrito is ¥700. But in my opinion, it was well worth the cost. If I am unable to make it to a foreign import/bulk food store and am craving burritos or nachos, I will definitely go back there!
