Let's Do That Hockey!
So, one thing I haven't really discussed much while being here is sports. I love sports! I like playing and spectating. One of my favorite sports happens to be hockey! For those unfamiliar with the sport, a conventional ice hockey game is played with 6 players on the ice rink for each team. Just like in soccer, each team has a goalie and the primary objective is to score a goal in the net behind the goalie.
Of course, there are differences from soccer, as you play on ice instead of grass, you use a round black piece of rubber called a "puck" instead of a ball and you move it with a stick, not your feet. Living in Japan has made it difficult to watch hockey games back home, but I do get to watch a few highlights.
The team I follow the most is my hometown team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. They are doing rather well this year and I hope to finally see them win the Stanley Cup, the championship trophy they haven't held since before I was born back in 1967. Below is one of my favorite players, Auston Matthews, who happens to play on the Leafs.
