ネイティブが教える英会話のジェムスクール☆Teachers☆

I just finished this classic anime from the early '80's called Cat's Eye and I loved it. I think one of my favorite things about it was the soundtrack. It has really rekindled my interest in the city pop genre. I don't know what it is about '80's music, but rather it be from America or Japan it makes me feel very nostalgic, which is odd because I wasn't alive during this time period.

What's really great about the soundtrack though is that a lot of the songs are in English or have English versions. In addition to that, most of the songs on the soundtrack make me feel like I'm drinking coffee very late on a windy night at a 24 hour café in downtown Tokyo. I know that's a very distinct scene. It's very rare that music paints such vivid imagery, but when it happens, it's like magic.
