Lovely Art Store

This year I've made it a goal to illustrate everyday. Back in America I knew where to get all my art supplies, but in Japan I was having a little trouble finding certain materials such as art markers and nice quality sketch books. Thankfully one of my friends who lives in Japan recommended a store for me to check out, and it was within walking distance from my apartment. The store's name is Niihama Ehime Painting Materials Co.
I had already been to a couple of stationary stores but I couldn't find what I was really looking for, so I wasn't expecting much. I walked inside and it looked pretty normal, which is exactly what I was expecting. I walked up to the woman working at the counter and said "Excuse me, do you have any art markers at this store?" She looked at me with excitement, probably thinking I couldn't speak any Japanese but continued with, "Oh, you mean like those?" She pointed to the corner of the store and to my surprise it was exactly what I was looking for!
A full wall of art markers with varying hues of reds, yellows, greens, and every color an artists could want. There were also a large amount of colored pencils, art tools, high quality sketchbooks, everything I needed and more. I bought some markers, a sketch book, and was going to buy some colored pencils but I started to notice I was spending more than I had expected to. Although I didn't buy as much as I wanted I assured the woman working I would be back soon. I honestly can't believe there's place like this so close to home, and needless to say I will probably venture there every week.
