Visting Cat Island
A while ago we had heard from our friend that the was an island that had a bunch of wild cats on them. But at the time it was too cold to go so we decided to hold off on going until it got warmer. A few weeks ago we tried to go but it started to rain and we were worried that it would scare all the cats into shelter so we pushed it off for last weekend.
And it was a lot of fun. The ferry took 50 mins from port to the island but it was a very gentle ride. The sea was pretty calm that day so it was quite relaxing. Once we landed we were greeted by a handful of cats who were all eager to see us as they knew that most people who visit are there for them. And most people bring some food to feed them.
We wandered around the island saying hello to so many cats. We brought our own cat food to feed them but within the first half hour we had gone through most of the food and we had barley walked around. We pressed on until we found a whole bunch of them who we ended up spending most of our time with. The cats were so greedy and kept pushing each other out of the way for the food. We had to keep moving to make sure every cat got a little bit.
It was a lovely island. After we had used up most of our food we sat at the port and watched the water discussing how much fun it would be to swim from island to island. We even spied a few jellyfish and a school of fish near us.
It was a lovely day. Thank you for taking us!
