ネイティブが教える英会話のジェムスクール☆Teachers☆

Today is the day! While some people are excited about the release of superhero movies like Avengers: Endgame, I'm in the crowd that was waiting to watch Detective Pikachu! Why Detective Pikachu? First off, I associate Pokemon with lots of fond childhood memories. I was in middle school when Pokemon came out in America and it took the world by storm. Everyone in my school loved the Pokemon game, the TV show, and Pokemon memorabilia.


Every morning kids would get up extra early to see the adventures of Satoshi (Ash Ketchum in the English version) and his beloved Pikachu. That love of Pokemon is still alive and well in the United States. Even though my friends are all older with families, we still can appreciate or play Pokemon. You can imagine everyone's excitement when they announced a live action Pokemon movie!

Today is the day of Detective Pikachu's official release in Japan. I'm definitely going to be scrambling to the theaters to support a franchise that is universally loved and respected. I hope the movie continues to bring happy memories to all who watch it! Because sometimes those child-like feelings of wonderment is just what we need in our busy adult lives.
