Living in our new Japanese apartment has made me realize how much I miss having a bigger apartment back in America. I have never seen a toilet and shower located in two separate rooms. Sitting on the toilet feels like I'm sitting in half of a cubical office; no elbow room and every time I open the door, I end up accidentally hitting the wall loudly. I have to squeeze myself in and out of the bathroom every time. The one upside about the toilets in Japan is that the majority of them are heated, which has been life-changing to say the least.
