Under the table over the table
Here is another one of my little favorites. She is also really rather quite brilliant. In fact, she is one of the most natural speakers I’ve met. Which doesn’t mean that she is fluent, but rather just that she learns things fast. She attends ballet school, too, so I think part of her quickness comes from learning things she enjoys. She enjoys ballet, so she’s in the habit of learning ballet, and the same for English. It’s hard to make out from this little snapshot, but our little genius here was trying to hide from me by putting herself under the table behind the trashcan and magazine carrier stand. She’s always been quirky. Sometimes when I walk out the door she will jump out at me to try to scare me, even if she is all the way on the other side of the room. Recently she’s taken to hiding behind desks, under tables, in seats, as a form of play. Actually, I’m not sure why she does any of that. She was actually one of my first students almost 2.5 years ago.
