I encountered this fixed gear bike recently. It looks beautiful. Although I've never ridden a fixed gear bike, I can definitely appreciate the beauty of them. That type of bike is often called a "fixie", which is derived from "fixed gear". The rear tire could also be rotated horizontally to change it to a single gear that allowed you to coast. A beautiful sight altogether.
