Surprise success desert
Many of us went to Amber's amazing Thanksgiving party on Sunday. She asked everyone to bring a desert instead of a dish, which was a little bit crazy! The party featured 3 different cakes, 2 sets of homemade cookies (I really need to learn how to bake with my oven here) pastry, and more.
I was embarrassed to say that I brought American style chocolate jello pudding, which is about the easiest thing in the world to make. Just a box of jello and milk and pop it in the fridge. I almost made it fancier with almond milk and berries but changed my mind. Pudding in the west has kind of a mousse-like texture and goes well with whipped cream.
Well, the pudding was a surprise hit! Teachers remarked that it reminded them of their childhood. Nostalgia was especially high during thanksgiving.
