Thankful

There is a lot to be thankful for this November. For one, I am thankful for the cooler weather. My jackets have been waiting to be released from "prison" (my closet). I'm also fond of the leaves changing colors. The red, orange and brown shades of colors add such extra character to trees. The thing I am the most thankful for is that this will be my first Thanksgiving as a husband! I'm really looking forward to enjoying all the things I am most thankful for with my wife. It's going to be a great month!

Ritsurin Koen

This weekend I finally went to visit Ritsurin Koen. I really loved being able to explore the beautiful garden. Of course I enjoyed the bigger attractions like the bridge and tea house, but my favorite part was the lotus pond. It was so cool to see how tall the lotus stalks were, especially with them all crowded together. I had never seen that before.

I also really liked the duck hunting pond. There was a little gazebo where I could sit and watch the ducks swim and play. As the sun started to go down and the afternoon light glowed, it felt like a magical place. I will definitely visit it again.

Mario Party!

Growing up, Mario games were always so much fun to play with my family and friends. Everyone could enjoy them as they usually were simple games that required little to no skill. So when I heard that Mario Party 10 was announced for the Nintendo Switch I got really excited. We bought it and invited some friends over to play it. It's been a blast playing the game, huddled around a kotatsu, fighting to see who can understand the mini games the best, hoping that the bonus stars are awarded to you.
