In October, I was able to go to the annual horse festival in Imabari. The horses and riders dress up in traditional gear and run as fast as they can from the Torii gate to the end of the course, just up a small hill. It was really cool to watch, and really surprising because some of the riders were so young! I heard them say that one of them was in fourth grade- I couldn`t believe it!
