Every year in Saijo and Niihama, at the end of summer and before the local matsuri season begins, people gather at the river to partake in imotaki. Imotaki is a hotpot with seasonal foods, like taro, mushrooms, tofu, beef and things like that. I had it for the first time this fall and loved it! I would recommend you try it sometime!
