Every September I anxiously await the season of one of my favorite flowers: the Japanese spider lily! All of a sudden, these vibrant, red lilies spring up around the rice paddies and in pathways along roads and trails everywhere you look. I drove to Toon city to see this field that was full to the brim with Japanese spider lilies- it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen! I'll be sad when the season is over.
