One Down, Three To Go
Over the recent holiday, I took a trip to Takamatsu for a day. I boarded the express train at Niihama Station. The express train runs from Matsuyama to Takamatsu and can be boarded in Niihama 5 or 6 times a day with a changeover in Utazu. If you don't make the change, you will end up in Okayama.
Upon arrival in Takamatsu, I exited the station and was immediately able to find the large semi-enclosed walking mall of Takamatsu. I was able to enjoy a Starbuck's coffee, browse the big bookstore and department stores, as well as enjoy a dumpling and noodles at a sit down-counter restaurant. I really like eating at a counter of a restaurant, especially in the hustle bustle of a bigger city. Later, I took a walk out on the pier to the lighthouse, and then made my way back to the station for the train ride back to Niihama.
Next on my agenda will be visiting either Tokushima, Kochi, or Matsuyama - one down and three to go!

waterfall
This is a beautiful waterfall inside of the ski resort. During the first part of the season it is not accessible but as the snow level increases you are able to ski or snowboard to a location that allows you to see it. You must be careful because it is dangerous if you get to close.
